Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has put election interference allegations on Google. He said that while Google showed positive content about his democratic rival Kamala Harris, it only displayed negative content about him.
Trump took to his platform Truth Social to claim that Google was using illegal methods to interfere in the upcoming U.S. Elections, thus accusing the social media giant of selective favoritism.

Trump has called for the Department of Justice (DoJ) to criminally investigate Google regarding the interference allegations.
This allegation from Donald Trump did not come as a surprise as he has criticized Google in the past as well. Trump had once said that there seemed to be “something very wrong” with Google.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk had also suggested earlier that Google might be restricting Donald Trump’s content by imposing a search ban on him. Google had responded to Musk’s allegations by strongly denying them.
Currently Google has not made any comment on Donald Trump’s latest accusations against it. The former president has said that he would personally ensure strict action once elected into office.

While there has been no substantial proof supporting the allegations yet, an investigation is surely needed in the matter.
Social media and search engines play a very huge role in shaping public opinions, and hence it should be their responsibility that they present each information ‘as is’ without any sort of altercation.
