When the foreign brand IKEA was launched in Hyderabad, there was a massive response with huge lines of enthusiastic Hyderabadis, leading to the trolling of the overenthusiastic shoppers and their obsession.

However, fast forward to reality, IKEA in Hyderabad is achieving a unique record.

The Swedish furniture store IKEA’s Hyderabad branch is set to become the first in the country to achieve operational breakeven, according to an official statement by the management.

The IKEA India management is also planning to expand its presence by opening more stores across the country. IKEA has committed to investing Rs 10,500 crore in the Indian market, primarily for upcoming projects in Delhi-Noida and Gurugram.
