India is said to be the diabetic capital of the world. Still, people drink a lot of cold drinks during get-togethers, functions and parties or simply just like that.
But the sugar content is rather high in these drinks and leads to Type-2 diabetes in many people. Like cigarettes, despite knowing the ill effects of cold drinks, people still consume them.

Added to this, leading soft drink companies have launched a variety of drinks and flavors in different shapes and prizes to entice their target audience.
But after reading this report, at least some of them might give up these artificially flavored drinks that are sugar-heavy.

It is said about 22 lakh people end up having Type-2 diabetes in a year and 12 lakh people have heart problems after consuming soft drinks.
The data was released by America’s Tuft University. In 2020, Washington University found that 9.8 per cent people are affected by Type-2 diabetes after consuming these sugary drinks.
