The 2024/25 Premier League season is now underway, with top-flight teams having tested themselves for the first time since May after a summer that contained Euro 2024 and plenty of preseason tours.
And clubs up and down the country have made a plethora of signings in a bid to improve on the results of last season, from the three promoted sides to Mikel Arteta’s title-hunting Arsenal or Arne Slot’s ‘new’ Liverpool side.
The transfer window closes at 11pm BST on Friday, 30 August, so clubs have limited time remaining to get those last signings and sales over the line in the ongoing battle to balance funds against PSR regulations. And each day brings with it more news, rumours and completed deals as we enter the final 10 days of the window, and you can find all the latest updates courtesy of our dedicated blog.
Follow all the news, rumours, sales and signatures below, as well as build-up to another weekend of Premier League football:
Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol is reporting that Chelsea are wasting no time in moving on from Raheem Sterling, with new signing Pedri Neto set to take the England international’s number seven shirt.
Neto wore the No. 19 shirt when he made his debut against Manchester City on Sunday, coming on as a second-half substitute in the 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
Sterling had switched to No. 7 last season, but new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca says the 29-year-old is training away from the first team and is not in his plans, as he “prefers a different kind of winger”.
Meanwhile, new signing Joao Felix will wear the No. 14 shirt which had belonged to Trevoh Chalobah.

Players Chelsea could look to move on this summer
With Gallagher and Broja already gone and Felix arriving from Atletico, who could Chelsea move on as they look to improve their squad?
Raheem Sterling is almost certain to leave, as is Ben Chilwell, with both having been told by Enzo Maresca that they are not in his plans.
But who else could leave Stamford Bridge?
The Belgian striker has spent the last two seasons on loan in Serie A, first with Inter Milan and then with Roma. A permanent switch to Italy now seems likely: Napoli, now under the management of Antonio Conte, are strong suitors.
Still the world’s most expensive goalkeeper, Kepa’s reputation is in need of repair after a tough time on loan at Real Madrid last season that saw him usurped by Andriy Lunin soon after Thibaut Courtois suffered a serious injury. A fresh start may do him some good.
Petrovic featured 23 times during his debut Premier League season, though may also be cut from the goalkeeper group as Maresca looks to sculpt his side. The Serbian could be available for a loan move or depart permanently.
Another of those perhaps feeling now is the time to find a regular starting spot is centre-half Chalobah. A number of mid-table Premier League clubs have been linked with the 25-year-old.
Fofana spent time with Union Berlin and Burnley on loan last season having arrived from Molde in January 2023. Capped thrice by the Ivory Coast, Everton, Leicester and Galatasaray have been mentioned as possible admirers.
