    Total Loss Of 5000 Crore

    Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that an estimated loss of around Rs. 5000 crore was incurred due to incessant rainfall in the state over the last few days.

    He requested the central government to provide support and sought immediate financial assistance of Rs. 2000 crore.

    Revanth Reddy conducted a review meeting regarding the floods earlier this morning in Hyderabad. Later, he left for Khammam to visit the flood-affected areas.

    As part of his tour, Revanth reviewed the situation in Raghavapuram village of the Mothe Mandal in Suryapet district. He spoke to the district-level officials and discussed the crop and property losses in the district due to the floods.

    Speaking to the media, Revanth revealed that Suryapet received 30 cm of rainfall, the highest in the state. He announced Rs. 5 crore in immediate financial assistance to the district collector’s office.

    Revanth also announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 5 lakh to people who lost their family members in the floods. He assured the allocation of Indiramma 2BHK houses for people who lost their homes in the floods.

    He said that he explained the current situation in the state to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah and sought financial support from the central government.
