2024 was a year filled with exciting things. New shows to binge watch, winning at the Cannes Film Festival, elections, South film industries winning over the hearts of the audiences and a lot and lot of feuds.

1 Arshad Warsi’s comment on Prabhas

In an interview, Arshad Warsi called Prabhas’ character in Kalki 2898 AD a joker. This comment upset many fans and the Telugu film industry. In an attempt to solve matters, the actor commented how he thought about the character in the film and not the actor who played it. But it does very little and many still criticize his choice of words.
2 Konda Surekha vs Akkineni family

The feud between Telangana minister Konda Surekha and the Akkineni family began when she commented on Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s divorce. It was said that she accused K. T. Rama Rao of influencing the actress. She also added that Nagarjuna forced Samantha into compromising situations.
The Akkineni family denied all the allegations, calling them false. Nagarjuna also filed a case of defamation against the mister. She later took back her statements about Samantha.
3 The case of Darshan Thoogudeepa
Darshan Thoogudeepa is facing legal trouble as he has charges against him for murder and conspiracy. It all started when Renukaswamy was caught sending inappropriate messages to actress Pavithra Gowda. It led to the violent confrontation of Darshan and others. While the actor denies the allegations, the legal case is still going on.
4 Dhanush and Nayanthara
A while ago Nayanthara sent an open letter to Dhanush calling him a tyrant. He refused to give a No Objection Certificate to use clips from their film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. She said that the actions were because of his grudge against the actress and her husband.
Later, Dhanush’s production house sent her a legal notice demanding 10 crores for the usage of the clip. The matters are in the court currently.
5 Tirupati Laddu controversy
This began when Karthi made a light-hearted comment about avoiding discussions about the sacred Tirupati laddu. This upset Pawan Kalyan . He criticized Karthi and told him to respect cultural traditions. Karthi later apologised on social media clarifying that he meant no disrespect.
