Tom Brady joins David Beckham at Inter Miami match as NFL legend takes in some MLS action – with injured Lionel Messi also in the stands

Tom Brady is in the house for Inter Miami’s MLS clash with FC Cincinnati on Saturday night after joining David Beckham in the stands at Chase Stadium.

Brady, the most decorated NFL quarterback of all time, was all smiles as he chatted with Beckham before kickoff in Fort Lauderdale, where he was seemingly invited as a special guest of the Miami co-founder.

The pair weren’t the only sporting icons in the crowd, however, as Miami superstar Lionel Messi is also watching on while still recovering from the horror ankle injury he sustained in last month’s Copa America final.

Messi, Brady and Beckham all witnessed Luis Suarez firing Miami into a two-goal lead after just six minutes on the night as they look to maintain their firm grip on top spot in the Eastern Conference.

Yet just three minutes before halftime, the hosts were dealt a huge setback when Tomas Aviles was brandished a red card, meaning they still have work to do after the interval.

At the break, Brady walked out onto the field for a special presentation at Chase Stadium as Beckham presented him with his own Inter jersey.

The shirt featured the No 12 – his famous number for the New England Patriots.

Brady owns a $17million mansion in Miami, meaning a 30-mile trip north to Fort Lauderdale was not too taxing for the six-time Super Bowl winner.

He has also been close friends with Beckham, one of the most iconic soccer players in history, for quite some time after the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star moved to California to play for the LA Galaxy in 2007.

After Brady’s recent Netflix roast, where he was subjected to brutal jokes about his personal life, Beckham reached out to make sure his good pal was ok.

‘I know Tom quite well, and I must admit, I did fire him a message just to check he was OK,’ he explained during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel earlier this year.

‘He’s more than OK, but yeah, it was hard to watch.’

Brady was unable to witness Messi, considered by some as the greatest soccer player of all time, work his magic in Florida on Saturday night.

The Argentina World Cup winner is still out of action after injuring his ankle in the Copa America final, with Miami head coach Tata Martino unsure when he will return.

However, Martino confirmed this week that his star man will be back by the time the regular season ends in October.

Almost 18 months since he retired, Brady is set to begin a new chapter in the NFL after venturing into broadcasting with FOX Sports.

The former Patriots and Bucs quarterback will work as an analyst for the network this coming season after putting pen to paper on a staggering 10-year, $375million contract.

Brady’s former teammate Bledsoe, who was replaced by him as Bill Belichick‘s starter in New England over two decades ago, gave a flattering, if not hilarious, prediction on how the Hall of Famer will fare live on air.

‘I know that Tommy will work it to death,’ Bledsoe said when asked about Brady’s upcoming first season as an NFL color commentator on Good Morning Football.

However, he couldn’t resist taking a sly swipe at his ex-colleague.

‘I will get kind of tired of his squeaky a** voice, but I know he’ll do a great job calling the games,’ Bledsoe joked.
