Mrunal Thakur’s brother, Dhaval Thakur, made his OTT debut in a web series called Thukra Ke Mera Pyar.
The story is set in Uttar Pradesh and revolves around a poor boy, Kuldeep (played by Dhaval), and a rich girl, Shanvika (played by Sanchita Bashu).

The series follows the common storyline of a rich girl falling for a poor boy, focusing on caste and class struggles.
The show is predictable and lacks fresh ideas. It feels like many Bollywood love stories and doesn’t offer anything new about caste issues in India.

The emotional moments are repetitive, and the story is easy to predict. The character development is weak, and Shanvika’s character, initially strong, fades later in the series.
However, the performances stand out. Sanchita Bashu plays Shanvika well, and Dhaval Thakur does a strong job as Kuldeep. His emotional scenes are powerful, and he shows promise.

The series has received poor reviews, and viewership numbers are not very encouraging.
Dhaval Thakur needs to choose better projects if he wants to succeed in the industry. Mrunal also faced failures before she became successful, but not everyone gets as many chances as she did.
