Last year, Toyota finally launched its popular pickup truck, the Hilux, in India. The truck received such an overwhelming response that Toyota had to temporarily stop accepting bookings. Deliveries for the Hilux have commenced in India, and we have been seeing videos from various owners online. Many of them have already modified the truck to meet their requirements. It appears that Toyota is offering its customers the option to modify the Hilux at the dealership. Here, we have a video showcasing an extensively modified Hilux pickup truck with modifications worth Rs 80 lakh.

The video has been uploaded by Rajni Chaudhary on her YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger discusses a Toyota Hilux that has been modified at the dealership level. The vlogger mentions that the customization option is available at the dealership, which means one can opt for high-quality parts without much worry. The first thing highlighted in the video is the front bumper. The stock bumper has been replaced with an aftermarket off-road spec unit from ARB. The new off-road bumper features integrated fog lamps and provisions for mounting large auxiliary lamps and LED bars.

There is also a heavy-duty winch neatly integrated behind the bumper. The headlamps and LED DRLs remain the same as before. Moving on to the side profile, the Hilux appears taller than the stock version. This is due to the SUV now having a 6-inch lift kit, and the suspension has also been upgraded. A metal skid plate protects the underbody and other important components. The stock alloy wheels have been replaced with aftermarket alloy wheels from the Fuel brand. The ORVM (Outside Rearview Mirror) on this Hilux is also an aftermarket unit, which costs around Rs 1.5 lakh. Hilux graphics adorn the side profile of the truck.

The roof and bonnet feature auxiliary lamps, and there is a functional snorkel installed in this truck as well. Moving to the rear, the stock bumper has once again been replaced with an off-road spec unit with shackles. The rear bed of the truck is coated with LineX to prevent scratches and protect the paint. Two large spare wheels are placed in the bed, and there is a roll bar at the rear.

That covers the exterior modifications. To enter the cabin, one must climb up via the rock sliders or the metal footboard installed in the SUV. Similar to the exterior, the interior of this pickup truck features a black and red combination. According to the video, the seat upholstery has been redone. Red carbon fiber-like inserts can be found on the doors, dashboard, and various other panels. Even the gear knob receives a similar treatment, and the steering wheel has been upgraded as well.

There are no changes to the engine of this Hilux. The approximate cost of these modifications on the Hilux is around Rs 80 lakh. The Hilux is only offered with a single 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 204 PS and a peak torque of 420 Nm with the manual transmission, and 500 Nm with the automatic transmission. This is the same engine option that also powers the Toyota Fortuner. The 4×4 system is a standard feature of the Hilux
