Thangalaan is a period action movie starring Chiyaan Vikram, produced by director Pa Ranjith under the banner of Studio Green Films. The film is gearing up for a grand release on August 15.

It is well known that Pa Ranjith achieved recognition and success while presenting Dalit characters as protagonists and giving attention to the long-lasting caste inequality that persists in society and as well as the film industry. He himself has claimed that his cinema speaks about marginalized people through films.
