On August 14th and 15th, the Denton County Sheriffās Office, led by Sheriff Tracy Murphree, conducted a major operation to target prostitution in Denton, Texas.
The crackdown, known as the āProstitution Demand Suppression Operation,ā aimed to catch individuals seeking to pay for sexual services.

During the operation, which involved the Highland Village Police Department, 14 people were arrested.
Most were charged with Solicitation of Prostitution, a serious crime that can result in jail time.

Two of the arrested individuals faced more severe charges for trying to solicit minors, which is classified as a 2nd Degree Felony. Additionally, two suspects were charged with illegal weapon possession.
The operation also saw arrests for evading law enforcement and further investigation into other individuals connected to prostitution. The Human Trafficking Unit is actively pursuing these leads.

Among those arrested were individuals from various cities in Texas, including Denton, Little Elm, Valley View, and others.
Notably, several of the arrested were of Indian origin, facing charges ranging from solicitation of prostitution to evading arrest.
