Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film, The GOAT, is set for a massive box office opening.
As of Wednesday night, the film has already secured advance bookings worth ₹35 crore in India for its first day. For the extended four-day weekend, the advance sales are touching ₹70 crore.

Internationally, the film has also made a strong start, with advance bookings amounting to ₹25 crore for the opening day and around ₹35 crore for the weekend.
This impressive number highlights Vijay’s star power, even though the film’s trailer was bad and the music was heavily trolled.

Based on current advance booking trends, The GOAT is projected to have an opening day box office collection of around ₹60 crore in India. This would make it the second-highest opening for a Tamil film, just behind Leo.
For those who might not know, Leo set an all-time record for a Tamil film with a worldwide opening of over ₹140 crore.

The film is expected to start with earnings between ₹105-110 crore worldwide gross, depending on its performance in key states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, and Karnataka.
