Sherilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi was taken into custody by the police while protesting outside Huzurabad BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy’s residence in Madhapur.

Since yesterday, Kaushik and Gandhi have been exchanging challenges. Last night, Kaushik challenged that he would visit Gandhi’s house at 11 a.m. today and make him wear a BRS scarf. However, the police prevented this by placing him under house arrest.

Gandhi, on the other hand, warned that if Kaushik failed to come to his residence at 11 a.m., he would go to his house at 12 p.m. True to his word, Gandhi arrived at Kaushik’s house just a while ago.

Kaushik, along with a few other BRS leaders, prepared to welcome Gandhi with Mangala Aarti and BRS scarves.

Once Gandhi reached the location, his supporters and Congress leaders started vandalizing Kaushik’s house, which led to a clash between the supporters of both leaders.

Gandhi stated that a covert like Kaushik Reddy has no right to speak against him and claimed that BRS lost the elections because of leaders like Kaushik Reddy.

Gandhi protested in front of Kaushik’s house, demanding that he come outside. Although the police tried to convince him to leave, Gandhi refused to move. Eventually, a clash broke out between the police and Gandhi’s supporters, leading to Gandhi’s arrest.

Meanwhile, Kaushik Reddy alleged that Gandhi and his supporters attempted to attack and kill him. He claimed there is no security for an MLA in the state. He also stated that the BRS party would launch a counter-attack tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the party’s Medchal district office.

Witnessing the ongoing drama, the public has expressed that Gandhi and Kaushik have brought Telangana politics to a new low.
