Social Media has started playing a very crucial role in the Elections these days. Political Parties and leaders have to design campaigns and hire strategists to drive their campaigns on Social Media.
Social Media arrests have also increased in the last few years indicating the seriousness of this space. Social Media volunteers played a crucial role in the recent victory of TDP and allies in recent elections.

Unlike YSR Congress, TDP does not organise it’s Social Media Workforce and pay them. But the party thanks to its DNA commands huge following and they voluntarily work for the party.
Janasena has a very big social media force thanks to Pawan Kalyan‘s cinema glamour. But then, they are politically novice and are more cinema-centric. But TDP Social Media is more subject-oriented.

They are unorganised but are very effective in driving the party agenda. There are two examples of that effectiveness in the last week or two.
Gouthu Sirisha and Minister Parthasarathi share dias with YSR Congress leader Jogi Ramesh who is the A-1 in the attack on Chandrababu Naidu‘s house. The social media people did not spare Sirisha and Parthasarathi and went after them.

They had to apologise publicly and the party high command had to reprimand them. They did not even. spare Sirisha who is a party loyalist and did not even allow the room to the Minister (because of his YSRCP Background).
Their unapologetic nature impressed everyone. And then, there is the issue of a Standup Comedian making nasty comments on Nara Lokesh. There is an important Political development of Chandrababu Naidu‘s Delhi Tour.
But they even ignored it and did not rest until they brought the stand-up comedian on to his knees. He had to take down the video and publicly apologize.
This uncompromising nature is the true spirit needed for a Political Party‘s Social Media Teams. TDP should be lucky to have got it in its veins even though it does not have a proper social media setup.
