TCS, Wipro Advisory Amidst India-Pakistan Tensions

Top tech giants in India are taking measures to ensure employee safety and continuation of business. The companies across board are giving remote work option and are carrying out mock drills in case of emergency.

TCS and Wipro sent advisory emails to employees prior to mock drills on May 7. They asked the employees to adhere to local administrative directives and maintain composure during the drills. They also directed them to follow the guidelines of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

They cautioned around reliance on wrong information from unverified sources. Ernst & Young India asked its employees across India to work from home on May 9 due to heightened tensions in northern and border states.

Panasonic India asked its employees in border states to work from home and also follow travel advisories as per government guidelines. AXA Global Business Services started work from home initiative. HDFC Life deferred off-site meetings and recommended vigilance around border areas.

Cyient announced its preparedness for any disruptions. Cars24 asked its employees in Delhi-NCR to leave offices early. While most companies in Delhi have given the option of working from home, some have asked to leave work early.

Employee safety has been prioritized with many companies giving advisories and work from home option. Business continuity plans are being chalked out to operate during uncertainties. They are collaborating with government authorities to navigate through security concerns.
