Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently busy shooting with Coolie, starring Rajinikanth in the lead, which is almost in the final stages and the team is aiming to release the movie in August.
Earlier buzz suggested that Lokesh Kanagaraj, after Coolie, is going to start a pan-Indian movie starring Aamir Khan in the lead and is going to postpone Kaithi 2 for 2026.

But Karthi has put a full stop to the rumors by posting a tweet with Lokesh Kanagaraj mentioning “Dilli Returns.”
Now according to reports, Kaithi 2 and Rolex movies were going to be the next two projects of Lokesh Kanagaraj. Kaithi 2 is going to be under Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Cinematic Universe (LCU), and this movie is going to be produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.

Whereas Rolex is going to be a standalone movie, and it is going to be produced by KVN Productions.
However, both the movies will have combination sequences of Kaithi’s Dilli character and Rolex character, as both the characters were interlinked, so both KVN and Dream Warrior Pictures collaborated to produce these two movies.

After this, social media users started to celebrate it and commented that Kaithi 2 and Rolex will be the most anticipated movies of Kollywood, as it’s going to be Suriya vs. Karthi’s face-off in both movies, and both movies have the potential to become the highest-grossing movies of Kollywood.
The shooting of Kaithi 2 is going to start shortly, and as per reports, the Kaithi 2 team is aiming for a 2026 release.
