Suriya’s eagerly anticipated film Kanguva, directed by Siva, is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2024. As promotional activities ramp up, both the actor and director are actively engaging with the media.
During a recent interview, Suriya reflected on the risks he has taken in his career, such as releasing Soorarai Pottru and Jai Bhim directly on OTT platforms when many others hesitated.

He shared a piece of advice he received from Rajinikanth, who once told him during a flight that as an actor, he must balance both the hero and actor roles.
“You can’t do an action film or a commercial film and just get comfortable,” Suriya noted. He emphasized the importance of making diverse choices to meet audience expectations.

He also referenced Shah Rukh Khan’s philosophy, stating that Shah Rukh Khan sees himself as an employee of the brand Shah Rukh Khan. In a similar vein, Suriya mentioned that he, as Sarvanan, works for Suriya the star and actor.
In the same conversation, director Siva addressed the potential for a collaboration between Suriya and Ajith Kumar.

He remarked that a script would need to be particularly compelling, especially with two big stars involved.
“The script should have that demand, and if I can write something unique like that, then why not?” he said, leaving fans hopeful for a future project involving both leading actors.
