The SC bench, led by Justice Sanjeev Khanna, heard the petition filed by Undi TDP MLA Raghu Rama Krishna Raju.

In his petition, Raghu Rama requested to move the case from Telangana to another state and expedite the investigation.

During the trial, Raghu Rama’s lawyer highlighted that six judges had either been changed or retired during the investigation. He noted that there had been no progress in the investigation over the past 10 years.

Justice Sanjeev Khanna remarked that the aspects mentioned in the CBI’s affidavit were quite surprising. He questioned why so many cases were filed even before the trial started in the CBI court.

Justice Khanna also criticized the CBI court for delaying the trial by repeatedly sending the case to different courts, each time saying the previous court’s order was incorrect.

Meanwhile, the CBI informed the Supreme Court that discharge petitions were being filed, obstructing the trial. The Supreme Court gave a counter by stating that even it had been discharging petitions after hearing them and was not obstructed by anything.

CBI’s lawyers mentioned that their defence lawyer and Additional Solicitor General (ASG), Raju, was unavailable to represent the CBI. The Supreme Court asked them to call him and postponed the hearing to 2 PM today.
