Usually, when a superstar’s film is arriving in theaters, it will arrive with humongous euphoria and hype. In the case of Tamil star Vijay, he enjoys the highest craze amongst the current crop of Tamil stars.

However, coming to Vijay’s next film, GOAT, the situation has completely lopsided. Not many are even caring about the film as it heads for release the coming weekend.
GOAT is arriving in Telugu and Tamil on the 5th of September and the situation is such that not many Telugu folk even know that one film called GOAT, featuring Vijay is arriving in theaters.

Vijay’s market in Telugu of late, despite his non-participation in the promotions here has been on the rise. He has been doing solid business here in recent years. His Master and Leo did pretty well in the Telugu states.
But that is not the case with GOAT now as the film is struggling with the lack of hype game.

GOAT is directed by Venkat Prabhu who often delivers peculiar commercial potboilers that tend to work at the box office. But with GOAT, absolutely nothing is working for the film including the teaser, trailer and posters. Lastly, even songs have become dead rubber.
Amid the dead air, GOAT could possibly be the least anticipated film of Vijay in recent years.
