Gadar 2 proved that the nostalgia factor and National holidays have a huge impact on the audiences given its massive success. It was released on 15th August and made an effective impact on the audiences with over 600 crores in collection at the box office.
With the same formula in mind, Sunny Deol aims to hit it big once again with Border 2. Promoted as India’s biggest war film, the film is set to break a lot of records once again given its effective star cast.

The film features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in prominent roles. Director Anurag Singh, who is best known for Kesari (2019) might have the biggest film of his career ahead of himself in Border 2.
The prequel to the film Border was a huge success in 1997 and influenced a lot of viewers during that time. As Border 2 approaches the theatres on January 26th, 2026, the shooting for the film has officially begun and the hype for the film is unmatched as of now.

Releasing the film on Republic Day is another bonus for the makers attracting more audiences to the theatres. Several critics and business analysts also predict that the film might touch the 1000 crore mark at the Indian box office just like Pushpa 2 given the hype and anticipation for the film.
It remains to be seen if Sunny Deol will be able to capture the audience once again after his blockbuster Gadar 2 and will Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh be able to deliver a generational performance in the film.
