On May 11, Deputy Tehsildar Ramachandra Rao complained to the police that Allu Arjun had come to Ravichandra Kishore Reddy’s house and a large number of people had gathered to see him. This is a violation of the election code.

It is stated that Allu Arjun did not take prior permission to come to Nandhyala. The police registered a case against Allu Arjun and the then YSR Congress Nandyala MLA Ravichandra Kishore Reddy.

Bunny said that going to his friend Kishore Reddy’s house was a personal visit. He went to congratulate him as he is contesting the elections. He said that there is no intention to hold a public meeting.

They requested that the case registered against them should be dismissed as the personal visit does not fall under the violation of the code.

Legal Experts say that Allu Arjun and his team must be aware of the consequences of this ‘Personal Tour’ and can not claim it does not violate the code. “Any film star will attract crowds in big numbers – be it personal or some other visit. They should have been more careful when the Code is in place. Allu Arjun’s tour (without permission) put pressure further on the Police department who are engrossed with security arrangements of the Former Chief Minister (Chandrababu Naidu) who is also in Nandhyala,” they say.

We will have to see what the High Court decides on this issue!
