Stree 2 has achieved remarkable success, recording the fifth highest first-week total of all time with 279 crore net. It ranks among the top, trailing only behind Pathaan, Jawan, Animal, and Gadar 2, but surpassing KGF 2.
The film, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is continuing its strong performance and is set to cross the 300-crore mark by its second Friday. It has already surpassed the lifetime earnings of Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi), which earned 278 crore from its Hindi release.

Stree 2 has maintained impressive box office numbers on weekdays as well.
Stree 2’s strong run highlights a missed opportunity for Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD. The audience was ready to support the film in a big way, but somewhere the content ultimately fell short of expectations.

While the makers and fans might argue that Kalki 2898 AD performed well in Hindi, the reality is that its potential was far greater.
If the film had enjoyed unanimous positive word of mouth, it could have easily surpassed 400 crores.

Instead, mixed reviews, particularly for the first half, significantly dented its performance in the Hindi market.
