Stree 2, featuring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Pankaj Tripathi, releases tomorrow. The sequel continues from where the first film left off, with characters facing a new ghost named ‘Sarkata.’
Stree 2 is on track to achieve a Rs 40 crore net opening on its first day, crossing Gadar 2’s opening which was an all-time blockbuster. The film’s momentum is strong.

Stree 2 has set a record for the largest advance ticket sales for an Independence Day release, surpassing Gadar 2. Single screens are also facing capacity issues, with some locations selling nearly all available tickets in advance.
This level of advance sales has only been reached by major hits like Baahubali 2, Pathaan, Jawan, KGF 2, Animal, and War 2. While Stree 2 is not as large in scale as these films, the holiday release is boosting its performance, surpassing even Tiger 3’s advance bookings.

Advance bookings are spectacular, with about 3.5 lakh tickets sold in national chains and predictions of up to 4 lakh by release.
The film has already made over Rs 20 crore in advance bookings and benefits from an extended weekend due to Raksha Bandhan.

Competing with John Abraham’s Vedaa and Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein—both of which have failed to generate buzz—Stree 2 is expected to perform strongly.
