While the MAGA infighting over the H-1B dialed down after Donald Trump said he supports the program, his former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon upped the ante over the H-1B issue. Warning Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, the two co-chiefs of DOGE, who were at the forefront of the MAGA infighting, Steve Bannon said there would be no reforms in H-1B because it will be scrapped.
On his podcast Bannon’s War Room which also saw Laura Loomer as a speaker, Bannon said the technocrats folded quickly on the issue from “fighting to the death” to “Oh yeah, the system needs reform”.
“Here’s our position: you’re not going to reform the H1B visa program—we’re shutting it down. If Musk’s priority was DOGE for America First/American citizens first, this would top his list. But it’s not, because I believe his agenda is to become the first trillionaire. I am just saying it…” Bannon said.
“Let me repeat this—no group hugs. This is how they gutted the middle class. We haven’t fought for years to let Silicon Valley’s sociopathic overlords destroy American citizens. No reform. We want it gone and demand reparations for the tech workers whose lives you stole,” Bannon said.
“The right stuff in America is what “Make America Great Again” means. It’s disgusting to talk about “high-skilled foreign workers” while bringing in slave labor. It’s wrong for their countries and especially for U.S. citizens. Your hypocrisy is revolting,” Bannon continued.
“When the enemy retreats, pursue. Don’t negotiate—they collapsed immediately. All their big talk about fighting to the death. They folded—Elon, Sacks, Vivek—now looking for common dialogue. No dialogue. Unconditional surrender.”
“Once they can’t beat you on the facts—like showing the hundreds of thousands of skilled workers they claim they need but that American citizens couldn’t provide—they resort to calling it racism. When they do that, you’re winning.”
“Elon, instead of calling us racist and claiming you’ll root us out of the Republican party, we’re getting H1B visas out, root and stem, and deporting the workers you brought in. Those jobs belong to American citizens, and we demand reparations. You stole their lives.”
“The program (H-1B), from top to bottom, is a scam and a con. The workers here under this program should be deported, just like the 15 million we’ll start deporting on the afternoon of January 20th. Deport them now, and hire American citizens with the same skill set.
