Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, who hosted the Tamil version of the popular reality show Bigg Boss, has announced that he will not host the upcoming eighth season.
Kamal was the host for the first seven seasons of Bigg Boss Tamil. He said that he will be unable to host the upcoming season due to his prior cinematic commitments.
The Vikram actor said that being the host of this show was an enriching association with the audience where he hostely shared his learnings. He said he would always be grateful for this learning experience and thanked both the audience and the contestants.
“I have been privileged to reach you in your homes. You have showered me with your love and affection, for which you have my everlasting gratitude. Your spirited and passionate support of the contestants is at the core of what makes Bigg Boss Tamil one of the best television reality shows in India,” wrote Kamal in his official note.
Kamal also thanked Vijay TV, the official broadcaster of the show, and the entire crew of Bigg Boss Tamil for making it a big success over the past seven years.
As of now, Kamal is acting in Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life. He also has Shankar’s Indian 3 and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki Part 2 in the pipeline.
After Kamal’s exit, everyone is curious to know who will be replacing him as the new host of Bigg Boss Tamil season 8.
