Akshay Kumar, once known as a surefire hit machine, is now facing serious backlash for his recent flops.
The actor has seen 14 consecutive disasters since the pandemic, with notable duds including Bell Bottom, Laxmmi, Cuttputtli, Atrangi Re, Bachchan Paanday, and Raksha Bandhan, among others. His last releases Sarfira and Khel Khel Mein also bombed badly.

He is now collaborating with Siddharth Anand and director Milan Luthria on a new action film. The project is set against a vigilante backdrop.
Fans were initially thrilled at the news that Akshay Kumar was teaming up with a prominent director like Siddharth Anand who gave a blockbuster like Pathaan. However, their excitement quickly faded when they learned that Milan Luthria would be directing the film and Sid Anand would be only producing the film.

Milan Luthria is seen as an outdated director who lost his edge years ago. His last successful film was back in 2010, and since then, his work has included flops like Baadshaho and Tadap.
Additionally, Luthria previously worked with Akshay Kumar on the disaster Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Dobaara a decade ago.
This news has left fans disheartened, as they feel that working with an out-of-touch director could further damage Akshay’s chances of a successful comeback.
Despite this, there’s still some hope because Siddharth Anand’s involvement could steer the project in a more promising direction, potentially improving on Akshay’s recent string of failures.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in Sky Force. He also has Jolly LLB 2, Singham Again, Housefull 5, Hera Pheri 3, Welcome To The Jungle, and the C Sankaran Nair biopic film lined up ahead of him.
