Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is shattering all box office records of Bollywood. The movie achieved phenomenal growth on the second Saturday and collected a massive 30 crores nett from its Hindi version. To note, the second Friday collections were 18 crores. Jawan collected 396 crores nett (Hindi) till now.
The movie has collected 797.5 crores worldwide as of now and will soon enter the 1000 crores club, too. The other interesting thing about Jawan is that the Telugu and Tamil versions have also contributed significantly. The dubbed versions amassed 46 crores nett, which is the highest for any Hindi film. All India collections of Jawan amount to 442 crores nett.
Trade pundits predicted that the India – Sri Lanka Asia Cup final match might cause a dent in Sunday’s collections, but that seems unlikely now as the game ended much before the scheduled time. Jawan needs another 128 crores nett to overtake Pathaan in India. Directed by Atlee, the film is produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment.
