The media has been full of reports of SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad) contemplating moving out of Hyderabad due to certain differences with Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). For a while, it seemed as if the differences were deep enough to break the ties.
However, much to the relief of cricket lovers in Hyderabad, SRH and HCA have sorted matters. HCA secretary R Devraj convened a meeting with SRH at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

The meeting was attended by SRH representatives Kiran, Saravanan and Rohit Suresh. At the discussions, SRH proposed strictly adhering to the tri-party agreement between SRH, HCA and BCCI, ensuring 10% of available stadium capacity across all sections is allocated accordingly.
HCA proposed maintaining the existing allocation of passes in each category, in keeping with the practice over the years. Following in-depth discussions and telephonic conversations with SRH CEO Shanmugam, it was agreed that a) category allocation of 3900 complimentary passes to HCA will be retained as is.

It was also decided that SRH and HCA would work in tandem to enhance the audience experience at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
The IPL 2025 season is on and SRH supporters were unhappy and concerned about the tiff. From Deccan Chargers, the IPL team became Sunrisers Hyderabad when the owners changed. Fans were happy that Hyderabad remained the home base, despite the change. Now, with issues resolved, SRH lovers can enjoy the rest of the season!
