Two prominent leaders from the erstwhile Adilabad district joined the Congress in the presence of TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday (December 5, 2024). Soyam Bapu Rao, former BJP Member of Parliament (MP) from Adilabad, and Athram Sakku, former BRS MLA from Asifabad, formally took membership in the Congress.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mahesh Kumar expressed his pleasure at the leaders joining the Congress fold, emphasising their valuable political experience. He also revealed that several BRS MLAs were currently in talks with the Congress and were expected to join the party at the “auspicious moment.” Referring to the BRS party’s criticism over the arrest of Kaushik Reddy, he stated that any violation of the law would result in legal action.
