The holidays are all about giving and the best gift you can give local businesses is your support by shopping small.
While Black Friday and Cyber Monday offer major savings, those two days aren’t the only opportunities to find gifts for everyone on your list.
Hillyer House was one of the many South Mississippi businesses participating in Small Business Saturday over the weekend. They are also looking ahead to today’s Cyber Monday rush.
For 53 years, Hillyer House has been in business, selling over 300 artists’ American crafts throughout the store.
You can find everything from handmade pottery, hand blown crafts, jewelry, and paintings, along with information about the artist. Hillyer House Manager Susannah Snyder said, “The shop small movement really spoke to people over the last couple of years. We’re really excited to be apart of it. You can’t really have these wonderful fun downtowns without supporting small businesses.”
Hillyer House Owner Paige Riley said, “Ocean Springs is one of the best places to be for small businesses. Our locals do so well supporting us.”
You can shop online at hillyerhouse.com, but they prefer you stop in the store. They love getting to know their customers.
