While Pan-India films have failed to leave an impact at the box office since last year, Devara Part 1 managed to pull a certain section of the audience to the big screen. There were different reasons behind the same and the film is currently in its second week.
It was shocking that the overall collections in North India were up to the mark compared to other Pan-Indian films. Notably, the first week has been profitable where the film accumulated 42 crores in total.

However, the collections have not witnessed a drop and there is a possibility that it could somehow reach the mark of 60 crores. While some people would say that the arrival of Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is the reason for the same, this is not true.
Despite being in the headlines, Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video have not recorded an amazing advance booking as per expectations. The shows are not fully packed since both the films are not aimed at the masses and they have been made for a particular section of the audience.

The situation for the advance booking of the films has hinted that they might not get a record opening on the first day. The final verdict would depend on the response during the weekend. But this might be beneficial for Devara’s Hindi version.
In case the audiences are not satisfied with Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Who Wala Video, people can opt to watch Devara. Certain factors such as Jr. NTR’s stardom in North India after the release of RRR and his casting in the upcoming film War 2 will also help in bringing more people to the theatres, contributing to the overall collections.
