The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to handover the murdered TDP worker Thota Chandriah’s case to CID.
Chandraiah was murdered brutally during Jagan’s time. The alliance government has given orders towards this end to the police.

In 2022, on January 13, YCP leaders brutally killed Chandraiah by cutting his throat. They threatened him to say Jai Jagan before slitting his throat. Chandriah was killed in Veldurti mandal’s Gundlapadu.
Chandraiah was on his way on a two-wheeler when a group attacked him with sticks, stones and knives. The incident occured between 7 and 7.30am. Chandraiah died on spot.

The SP took action following a complaint by his son. Four teams were formed and 8 people were arrested.
The main accused happens to be Chinta Shivaramaiah. It is said there was a dispute Chandriah and Shivaramaiah regarding laying of a cement road.

In fact, Chandraiah was warned of an attack at a function at that time. The issue grabbed headlines when the then opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu attended Chandraiah’s funeral.
Babu had said that it was a political murder and shared that 10s of TDP workers were killed in Palnadu, Guntur.
