Trade experts suspected that this collection was made up due to the large number of block bookings by the makers of the film. According to them, the actual earnings from the film are 50-60% of the figures they have revealed.

They believed Sky Force has seen the highest number of block bookings in history.

Allegedly, Laxman Utekar’s Chhaava, too, used the same tactic. Interestingly, both films were bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of his Maddock Films, which also produced Stree 2, the highest-grossing film of 2024.

Amidst these allegations, Sky Force co-director Sandeep Kewlani defended the film’s earnings while also questioning the obsession with box office numbers.

He straight away stated that both Chhaava and Sky Force have seen/are seeing organic collections and there has been no block booking for either of the films.

He also raised issues like why is it important for people to know how much the film earns right when it is released. It should be the content that should attract an audience and not how much it earns.

He believes that if people want to inform the public about the film’s collection, it should be done after its theatrical run. The state of the updates feels like a vegetable market with hourly updates about its reports.
