Sitaare Zameen Par first review: Sudha Murty calls Aamir Khan’s comedy-drama an ‘eye-opener’ that offers ‘deep philosophical lessons’ | Bollywood News

One of the most anticipated Bollywood films at the moment, RS Prasanna’s Sitaare Zameen Par has been creating buzz for quite some time now. This is not just because the movie marks the return of Aamir Khan to the silver screen in a lead role after three years, but also since its trailer promises that the movie will be a heartwarming comedy-drama that offers us some respite amid the flurry of loud actioners we are bombarded with frequently.

Now, author and philanthropist Sudha Murty, who recently watched the movie at a special screening, has shared her review of Sitaare Zameen Par. Calling it an “eye-opener”, she shared that the Aamir Khan-starrer is “a beautiful film”. “I feel the movie’s an eye-opener. Many people don’t understand such children whom we call ‘not normal’. But this is a very beautiful movie where you understand that they are very sensitive and that they have a pure heart. They always smile, too, because they are so pure in their approach to life. These are great and deep philosophical lessons which we learn from these people (the characters in the film),” she shared after watching Sitaare Zameen Par.

“The movie is inclusive of these people, and they have their own kingdom of mind and work. This movie can bring about a lot of changes, actually. We should include them in our normal system and try to rehabilitate them in a normal way. Thank you very much for such a great opportunity to see a great movie by Aamir Khan,” she added.

Featuring Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh, Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain and Ashish Pendse, among others, Sitaare Zameen Par is penned by Divy Nidhi Sharma. Jointly produced by Aamir and Aparna Purohit, the movie boasts music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, a background score by Ram Sampath, cinematography by Srinivas Reddy and editing by Charu Shree Roy. Sitaare Zameen Par will hit the screens on June 20.
