Aamir Khan’s fans are eagerly waiting to see him on the big screen. While there was no specific clarity about the release of his film Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir has now shared an update, saying that it is confirmed to arrive at Christmas this year.
Aamir gave the news while appearing at the special celebration at the state of Statue of Unity in Gujarat on January 26, 2025. He disclosed during a conversation at the event that a portion of his film has been shot at the state, adding that he is working to release it by the end of this year.

Aamir additionally revealed that Sitaare Zameen Par is currently in the shooting process, adding that it is an entertaining film and he has liked the story. Apart from this, he did not speak anything about the cast members appearing alongside him.
Sitaare Zameen Par will mark Aamir’s return to the big screen after a break of almost three years. Trade experts are expecting the superstar to bounce back, considering that his last few films failed to make a mark at the box office.

The upcoming film is a follow-up to Taare Zameen Par, which was helmed by Aamir himself in 2007. It was a big hit at the time, specifically for its unique concept and outstanding performances.
Although it is expected that the film will become a blockbuster, it still has a lot of hurdles on the way.

Sitaare Zameen Par is reported to be a remake of a Spanish film, which is a thing that might not be liked by the general audience. At a time when people are willing to watch original content, a remake might be the wrong option.
Furthermore, this year’s December is going to be a crowded month with a lot of big films arriving every week. It includes Alpha from YRF Spy Universe, which is a big film considering the reputation of the franchise. Then there is Welcome to the Jungle, Avatar 3, and Shakti Shalini, and all of them are a part of popular franchises.
All the above-mentioned films are expected to pull huge crowds to the big screen and in between all that, Aamir Khan should not take a risk of releasing his film in Christmas.
The best option for Aamir right now is to shift the release date so that it can get a solo run of 2-3 weeks. However, it remains to be seen if the film gets postponed in the upcoming days.
