Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 is turning heads with an impressive worldwide box office opening of Rs. 80 crore on its first day.
The film grossed Rs. 72.5 crore domestically, while raking in USD 900K (Rs. 7.50 crore) internationally, despite it being a regular weekday abroad. These numbers are remarkable, especially for a film with mid-level star power.

Notably, Stree 2 has overtaken Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, which previously held the second-best opening of 2024 with a worldwide collection of Rs. 77 crore. Guntur Kaaram earned Rs. 47 crore in India and Rs. 30 crore gross overseas.
While Prabhas’ Kalki 2898AD still reigns supreme with a massive Rs. 160 crore gross worldwide, Stree 2 has established itself as the second-biggest opener of the year, surpassing Guntur Kaaram.
