After tremendous pressure from the Bangladeshi citizens, Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh has finally resigned from the position and left the country. It is being reported that the army is going to take command of the situation now and the power will be shifted to military rule. Amidst this chaos and violence, Sheikh Hasina has reportedly fled the country and was transferred to India in a helicopter.
Sheikh Hasina has been accused of being complicit in numerous murders of innocent protestors using brute force. There is widespread joy among the Bangladeshis who saw her as nothing but a tyrant. The streets of Chittagong were packed with hundreds of thousands of protestors who came out after the news.

It has been reported that thousands of these protestors entered her official residence. It has been reported that Sheikh Hasina landed at the Hindon air force station in the NCR region of India. She might seek asylum in the United Kingdom.
What happened in Bangladesh has once again proved that revolutions are not a thing of the past. The people still hold power be it democracy or any other form of government, but only if they are willing to take it. Hundreds of innocents had to sacrifice their lives for this but they managed to achieve what they wanted.
