Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha perform ‘Kanyadaan’ ritual at Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding with Zaheer Iqbal – PIC goes viral | Hindi Movie News

Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with Zaheer Iqbal on June 23 and it was a registered wedding. They tied the knot under the ‘Special Marriage Act of 1954’ which means that they have to give a 30-day notice period to the Marriage Registrar during which objections can be raised. It also requires both the parties to be of legal age of 21 (for men) and 18(for women). The act is designed to govern marriages without regard to religious or cultural differences.
The couple tied the knot in a civil manner – neither with Hindu or Muslim rituals. However, keeping in mind the sentiments, Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha were seen giving Sonakshi’s hand in Zaheer’s hand – as a symbolism to the ‘kanyadaan‘ ritual. The picture has gone viral now and it’s too emotional.

The couple’s registered wedding took place at Sonakshi’s new house and only had the presence of their family and close friends. Meanwhile, they had a celebration in the evening for their industry friends.
Sonakshi has now dropped some couple portraits from the evening celebrations which are too mushy to miss. The actress wrote, “Whattttt a day!!!! The love, the laughter, the togetherness, the excitement, the warmth, the support from every one of our friends, families and teams… it was like the universe came together for two people in love to give them exactly what they’ve always hoped, wished and prayed for ❤️If this is not divine intervention… we don’t know what is ✨We are both truly blessed to have each other and so much love protecting us 🧿”

While dropping these pictures, Sonakshi and Zaheer have kept their comments section on Instagram off, in order to avoid any negativity or trolling!
