Shah Rukh Khan’s historic Met Gala debut has not only captivated his legion of fans but also found an admirer in reality TV star Khloe Kardashian. Days after the Bollywood icon became the first Indian male actor, along with Diljit Dosanjh, to walk the Met Gala red carpet, Khloe took to Snapchat to express her admiration for his look. Khloe did not attend the Met Gala this year but her sisters, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner walked the red carpet.
“I loved seeing King Khan at The Met,” Khloe wrote, alongside photos of Shah Rukh. The reality show star was particularly taken with the striking necklace the actor wore, adding, “I’m a fan of the K necklace.” Dressed by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Shah Rukh wore a floor-length black wool coat that fused traditional Indian menswear with the Met Gala’s 2025 theme. The look was accentuated with bold accessories — most notably, a glittering “K” pendant and a gem-studded tiger-head cane.
Khloe appreciated this cultural depth in her posts. In another Snapchat story, she praised the designers who remained true to their roots while interpreting the theme: “He looked amazing and it’s so great to see how the talented designers incorporate elements of their own culture and fashion from around the world with the theme of the event.” She went on to highlight Sabyasachi’s creative choices, noting that he “incorporated design elements of Indian menswear.”
Khloe also revealed how she first came to know of Shah Rukh Khan. “I first heard about him when I visited India with Kim last year,” she wrote, referencing the Kardashian sisters’ trip to Mumbai in July 2024 to attend Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s high-profile wedding. Their brief but headline-making visit was later featured on their show, The Kardashians.
At this year’s Met Gala, Shah Rukh Khan was joined by fellow Indian film stars including Diljit Dosanjh, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Kiara Advani. SRK’s interaction with the press at the red carpet hosts did not land as expected as netizens criticised the hosts for being unaware about SRK. At one point during the interaction, Sabyasachi had to talk about SRK’s stardom as he said, “Shah Rukh Khan is probably one of the most famous men in the world, and his fan following is legendary. We nearly had a stampede outside the hotel when he came out.”
