Shah Rukh Khan took to his social media handles and teased fans with the first look from the first song of the upcoming film Pathaan, Besharam Rang, releasing on Monday. Shah Rukh plays the role of a gun-totting spy with a license to kill in the action film directed by Siddharth Anand. Earlier, the film’s team had shared the bikini-clad Deepika Padukone’s look from the first song of the film. In the new still image, Shah Rukh appeared in a breezy ivory shirt with open buttons, flaunting his well-toned body. He paired it with pendants and a retro black sunglass to finish off his rugged look. His man bun further elevated his whole look as he posed on what appears to be a yacht in a middle of waters.
Sharing the picture, Shah Rukh wrote in the caption, “Of Boats…of Beauty….and Besharam Rang! Song releasing tomorrow at 11 AM.” Reacting to his first glimpse, a fan wrote, “Guys he is not 57!!!” “Can’t wait my man Shahrukh Khan is coming back after 4 years,” added another one. One of them also said, “This man is playing with his age.” Even Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan also double tapped on the post as soon as he shared it.
Pathaan reunites Shah Rukh with his Chennai Express co-star Deepika Padukone who is also a part of Besharam Rang. Meanwhile, John Abraham will appear as the antagonist of the story.
Talking about Pathaan, director Siddharth said in a statement, “Shah Rukh Khan has for long been the king of cool on the big screen and he is back being his effortless best in Pathaan’s first song Besharam Rang. We had SRK [Shah Rukh] looking like a million bucks in the coastal cities of Spain for the song and he has worked his magic on camera.”
“SRK will be seen letting his hair down with Deepika in this party track of the season. He has pushed his body for the film to be his fittest best and has also flaunted an eight pack in this song as well which should get his fans very excited to see their idol looking the way he is in Pathaan,” he added.
During the shoot in Spain, several pictures from the sets of Besharam Rang leaked online. The two shot the song in Mallorca as Shah Rukh was papped flaunting an eight-pack and Deepika in a bikini avatar. Then they headed to Cadiz and Jerez where they wrapped the rest of their schedule in March.
Commenting about Deepika and Shah Rukh’s hit pairing, the Pathaan director also said, “His (Shah Rukh Khan’s) chemistry with Deepika in the song is infectious. They are considered one of the all-time biggest on-screen jodis in the history of Hindi cinema, given their massive blockbusters, and this song presents them to their fans and audiences in a way that they have never seen before on screen. I am eagerly awaiting to see the reaction of people when the song drops tomorrow!” Pathaan is set to release on January 25, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
