Shah Rukh Khan appearance at the Met Gala 2025 elicited divided reactions from his fans. On Thursday, the superstar returned to Mumbai, along with his manager, Pooja Dadlani, and security guard. The Bollywood superstar made headlines with his debut at the prestigious fashion event. SRK was seen in a casual look at the airport on Thursday. In videos shared on paparazzi accounts, the actor was spotted in a white T-shirt paired with blue jeans, a black jacket, and sunglasses. He completed his look with a blue bag, brown belt, and white sneakers.

Shah Rukh’s Met Gala look was designed by Sabyasachi. He created a floor-length, elongated coat with a peak collar and wide lapels. It was paired with a crepe de chine silk shirt and trousers. A pleated satin kamarbandh completed the look. SRK layered the outfit with a custom stack and complemented it with The Bengal Tiger Head Cane, crafted in 18k gold with tourmalines, sapphires, old mine cut, and brilliant cut diamonds.
Sharing his Met look, SRK had posted on social media, “Thx Sabyasachi & ur whole team for introducing me to the Met Gala. It’s not my ‘space,’ but u made me feel so comfortable… because u, like me, believe… Style & Fashion… is just being who you are. And all of u made me feel like a ‘K!’”
However, the appearance wasn’t entirely smooth for SRK, who found that members of the Western media weren’t entirely sure of his popularity. Moments after SRK flaunted his signature pose, he approached a journalist who appeared to ask him to introduce himself. SRK responded, “Hi, I’m Shah Rukh.”
Shah Rukh’s fans came out in full force to catch a glimpse of him outside his hotel. Despite the security guards’ warnings not to take photos, the fan requested SRK for a picture. In response, Shah Rukh Khan shared a warm hug with the fan and her friends. In the video, the fan can be seen crying as she described the incident. She shared how Shah Rukh Khan saw she was crying and softly placed his hand on her head, saying, “God bless you.”
Met Gala 2025 also saw the debuts of Diljit Dosanjh and mom-to-be Kiara Advani. Priyanka Chopra attended with her husband, actor-singer Nick Jonas.
