The Maddock Supernatural Universe is on a hot streak, with the next four years’ worth of films already announced. However, the franchise could have become even bigger with the addition of the King of Bollywood, who reportedly turned down their offer.
According to media reports, Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik approached Shah Rukh Khan for Chamunda, a key project in Maddock’s horror-comedy universe featuring Alia Bhatt. But despite Stree 2’s major success and all the hype, SRK walked away from the project, refusing to step into an already established universe.

However, King Khan hasn’t completely denied working with the rising director Amar Kaushik. The insider reports claim that he wanted a fresh project from Maddock, something that breaks boundaries instead of following trends.
It could be that SRK being part of YRF’s Spy Universe, might have reservations while committing to another franchise. Nonetheless, the fans would be eager to see Kaushik’s “fresh project,” tailor-made for the superstar as the lead.
