The Mahakumbh Mela of 2025 is already making enough headlines. However, netizens have indulged themselves in a different kind of debate over a rather beautiful Sadhvi who was spotted and interviewed during the processions. The Sadhvi was seen sitting beside a Baba and talked about the auspicious nature of the Mela.
The debate arose when the video surfaced online on X, where people started pointing out that she was not actually a Sadhvi but a “TikTokiya” (TikToker).

Subsequently people took offense that a woman who goes around posting videos online in exotic locations and non-conservative attire was being called a Sadhvi.
Netizens were angry about why a TikToker was being referred to as a Sadhvi. Sadhvis are highly respected in the Hindu worldview. Others pointed out that the Sadhvi should not be objectified by calling her beautiful.

The “alleged Sadhvi” has been identified as Harsha Richhariya from Bhopal. She is an actor, model, and corporate event manager. However, she has apparently turned towards a Sanatan lifestyle and now propagates Sanatan culture through her videos.
However, Harsha is not an ascetic. As per her latest venture, she was seen hosting a wedding in Bangkok, which has confused people about what her whole deal actually is.

Whatever it may be, anyone can be a part of the procession. Dharma is for all, and hence no one should point out her presence, much less have an objection to it.
Still, the use of Sanatan Dharma to advertise one’s own social media, that too by using the names of Sadhvis, is wrong and should be avoided.
