Some passengers onboard an Air India flight were injured after the aircraft encountered severe turbulence mid-air yesterday, officials have said.
Sources say no serious injuries were reported in the incident, and that the passengers were medical assistance upon arrival at the Sydney airport.
No passenger was hospitalised, aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said.
“Seven passengers reported minor sprain. Cabin crew provided first aid with the assistance of a doctor and a nurse traveling on the flight, using an onboard first aid kit,” the news agency PTI quoted an official as saying.
