Sasikumar and Simran’s Tourist Family, directed by debutant Abishan Jeevinth, is creating strong buzz ahead of its release on May 1, 2025.
This Tamil comedy-drama is produced by Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment. It received glowing reviews after a press show held on April 29.

The story follows a Sri Lankan Tamil family trying to rebuild their lives in Tamil Nadu. The film mixes humor, emotions, and a heartfelt message, which has connected well with audiences.
Critic Baradwaj Rangan called Tourist Family a “warm-hearted drama with lots of laughs.” He praised its simple and effective storytelling. Many others from the Tamil film industry have shared similar praise on social media. Some even called it one of the best Tamil films in recent times.
