After a decent theatrical run, Nani’s latest film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram has officially started streaming on Netflix as of September 26, 2024.
Despite initially carrying high expectations, the film struggled to fully meet them. At the worldwide box office, the film grossed over ₹90 crores according to the trade, but if the film had lived up to its potential it would have gone to 125 crores easily.

Directed by Vivek Athreya and starring Nani, SJ Suryah, and Priyanka Mohan, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram has received a similar average response on OTT as it did in theaters.
The OTT audience is appreciating Saripodhaa Sanivaaram in bits and pieces, particularly praising SJ Suryah’s standout performance and Jakes Bejoy’s engaging background score.

The fight sequences have been criticized for lacking conviction, with many viewers pointing out that they didn’t create the desired impact.
Additionally, the second half has been a common source of complaint, as the audience found it dragged and filled with repetitive elements.

Although some comedy sequences worked well, the overall narrative felt like a rehash of the same old formula, leaving many disappointed with its execution.
The OTT audience has echoed the sentiment that while the film has its moments, the execution ultimately left much to be desired. The overall perception is that the film is a missed opportunity.
