Saripodhaa Sanivaaram Credit Goes to S. J. Suryah, Not Nani

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is out in theaters, and its positives and drawbacks have been discussed in our review.

One unanimous reaction from audiences who have watched the film is that S. J. Suryah, who played the negative character, dominated everyone, including Nani.

In fact, there’s talk that if another regular villain had been cast instead of S. J. Suryah, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram might have become just another highly routine film. His performance made such a significant impact that even Nani graciously acknowledged it.

Nani mentioned that he always knew it was Daya’s (S. J. Suryah’s) film, not his. He even openly supported this view when director Vivek Athreya expressed concern that S. J. Suryah was dominating during the shoots. Nani said it was fine.

It is commendable to see Nani giving credit to a Tamil actor who dominated him throughout the film, but Nani’s emphasis on the film itself over personal accolades should also be appreciated.
