Deepika Padukone had created much buzz by joining Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit alongside Prabhas. However, recently she has decided to walk out of the project due to conflicts with Vanga over her schedule.
Deepika presents a feminist approach of equality of labour and pay, she expects negotiations in her favour to suit her demand. She has recently become a mother and certainly needed more time with her baby and wanted a 6 hours schedule rather than 8 hours.

Moreover, the extra days that she would work, she wanted extra pay for the same. Vanga who is known for his hands on approach could not fit in her demands and this led to creative differences which resulted in Deepika’s exit.
This reminded some netizens of the Race 2 controversy 13 years back. Deepika walked out of the Ramesh Turani project just after a 6 day shoot claiming that she has got an international offer.

Turani called this out as unethical and unprofessional behaviour that he had never encountered before. While some understand how this might be unfair on her part.
Many of her fans are still supporting her stating that it is because of her brand value that makers want to sign her. It is not a big deal if she expects certain terms and conditions in an industry that does not favour women.
