Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra, Watch 7 prices leak ahead of Galaxy Unpacked 2024 – Technology News

Samsung is gearing up to unveil the Galaxy Watch 7 series at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10. Alongside this anticipated release, rumours suggest Samsung may also introduce a higher-tier model known as the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Positioned as a more premium offering, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is expected to come loaded with advanced features giving a tough fight to Apple Watch Ultra. Although Samsung has not confirmed these details officially, a new report has emerged disclosing the anticipated prices for these Watch 7 and Ultra 7 smartwatches.

A report by 91mobiles has disclosed the prices of Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch 7 ahead of their official unveiling. It suggests that Samsung is positioning the Galaxy Watch Ultra as a premium offering, with an expected price point around Rs 60,000. The Galaxy Watch Ultra marks Samsung’s entry into the Ultra-branded smartwatch market, poised to rival competitors like the Apple Watch Ultra and Ultra 2 with its premium features and hardware.

According to the report, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 47mm variant is expected to be priced between USD 699 to USD 710 (approximately Rs 58,400 to Rs 59,300). While this sounds like a pricey affair, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 costs more. In comparison, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is priced at Rs 89,900 in India.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is said to come with the support of 15W wireless charging. It will come with Wi-Fi connectivity along with optional LTE connectivity. Reports indicate the Galaxy Watch 7 will be powered by a 3nm Exynos chip, promising a 20 percent increase in power efficiency and performance gains over its predecessor. It is also expected to feature an expanded 32GB storage capacity.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is rumoured to feature a 47mm size option and backed by a 590mAh battery. Speculations suggest it may sport a Titanium (Grade 4) chassis and a sapphire crystal glass display with up to 3,00nits peak brightness. It is expected to come cellular and Bluetooth-only models.
