The duo majorly discussed two of the recent films in Bollywood that had cameo appearances.

They pointed out that the reason Salman Khan’s cameo in Pathaan worked was that the trailer did not reveal anything about it. Fans did not anticipate it, delivering a bigger shock value.

They compared it to the cameo of Akshay Kumar in Singhan Again.

The reason that failed was because it was revealed in the trailer. Even the poster showed it.

According to Himesh, Singham Again would have had a different effect on the audience if Akshay Kumar’s cameo wasn’t revealed in the trailer.

With the rise of these cinematic universes in movies, fans know that the actors and timelines overlap. But telling them what to expect takes away the suspense of the climax.

They talked about how important it is to build up suspense during the climax in such films, or else it leaves the audience unsatisfied. Pathaan was able to pull it off, but Rohit Shetty gave away too much too early.

The impact of cameos is delivered best when it has a good shock value to it. Makers should take notes from Pathaan on how to deliver a cameo appearance that stays with fans.
